dont know how to pay for a college degree here are the top 5 ways
Need to pay for a college degree, but not sure how you’re going to do it? Here’s a few ways to get the money you need to further your education: 1) Parents! I know this is kind of a “duh”, but I still thought it should be mentioned. Hopefully your parents can help you pay for some part of college, even if it’s just food money. 2) Student loans. This is how I personally had to pay for part of my college, but I don’t recommend you go overboard with them. Even though student loans have low interest rates, it’s still debt that can eat a new graduate alive. Especially if you’ve taken out tens of thousands of dollars in loans like I know many students do. 3) Co-op or get paid internships. These can make you a good bit of money, but the problem is they usually set you back a year or two to finish your degree (unless you take tons of hours each semester). I did a co-op for three semesters and besides the pay, the other thing I liked was getting to see corporate America a bit. Growing up you never really see it, and even in college you don’t really learn what it’s like unless you get to work in it. The experience earned in internships and co-ops is a great experience too. So basically I recommend this as a good option- you make a lot of money and learn a lot, just be willing to wait a little longer to graduate. 4) Scholarships and grants. Probably the best, easiest way to pay for a college degree, this is usually free money! You will likely have to do some homework to find good ones you’re eligible for, but it can be well worth it. Also a lot of schools will offer financial aid in case you live with a single parent or your parents don’t make very much money. 5) Get a job. Working full time can be done in college, but it’s tough. Some people do it, but it’s not the easiest way to go. Here are some of the most popular jobs do try: -Waiting tables -Retail (clothes, home improvement, etc.) -On campus jobs (office assistants) -Landscaping -Temp agency -Tutoring -Affiliate marketing or blogging online Between all of those different methods, I definitely lean towards affiliate marketing the most. It’s very flexible (you work when you want), you work for yourself, and you’ll learn skills you can take with you for the rest of your life. A lot of people start affiliate marketing just as a hobby, then later end up doing it full time! That’s because it lets them do what they want rather than what their boss or company wants. There you have it- some of the best ways to pay for a college degree. Probably the best way to go is to apply for grants and scholarships first (even if your parents are paying), then try your hand at affiliate marketing on the side. Whatever you choose, good luck!
