finding happiness with the law of naturethelema and the way of will
Finding your true self is also finding happiness in and with who you are. True happiness is knowing the real you, Zoroaster wrote: “To know thyself is divine.” and he meant this literally. The number one most important thing for anyone who is not sure what their will is, is to find out. The law of Thelema is the Way of ‘Love’, and ‘Will’. The first thing you need to understand is the word Thelema. It is a Greek word or term meaning both words in the English Language ‘Will’ and ‘Love’. It means them interchangeably and simultaneously. One more thing, there are two realities at stake here and you know how sometimes words have two meanings. The word love is not the love you are taught about when you were a kid. It is not the romantic kind of love but a natural love of existence and life in general. Then there is the word will. The word will does not in anyway mean wants or desires but what nature has intended for you. It is something you have no control over but are inextricably good at. Think of Mozart, Einstein, Da Vinci, Picasso, and what these men were intended for. Music, Engineering, Painting, and you have a very good example of a true ‘will’. Thelema is the philosophy of finding that purpose and following to its full potential. If you narrow your focus and find your ‘will’ or ‘love’ in life you become in tune with nature. You are in the sway of its force and energy as opposed to going against the grain. When you have proper direction life gets a whole lot better and makes much more sense. You will feel much more fulfilled. Plus you have less of a chance for running into conflict. Everything in the universe follows this course of direction and when ever there is conflict this is usually a sign of a lack of balance. No direction leads to conflict. If the planets do not follow their course then they will collide and cause destruction. This is one of the major analogies however all things that exist in nature follows the laws ‘Thelema’ the way of the will. This is also what is meant in the Tao of Chinese philosophy. It is much more than that though. A dog barks, a snake slithers, nothing in creation is without purpose. Beyond all religion, beyond any logic, it is truth in living. It makes you content with who you are providing you with all encompassing, definitive direction in life. So you see the formula for individual human happiness and life on earth is possible and it is simple. It is somewhere locked away inside your consciousness. It is irrevocably who you are inside. The subconscious mind is the key. If you do not feel as though you have found your will then it is your number one priority to do so. Your obligation to find out who you are in life and follow through with it is for you and only you. It will probably manifest in your early childhood. Meditation is a great way to help find your will. Your subconscious mind unfolds naturally in a relaxed state. Memory can help as well, as said previously it more than likely manifested itself in your childhood. something you loved doing and were naturally good at it. Art, mechanics, carpentry, it can be anything but it must be something positive and beneficial to the world around you. It is always a contribution to society. building, creating is divine, while destruction is devilish in nature.
