dream interpretation 101 help my teeth are falling out
Have you ever had a dream where your teeth were falling out and wonder what it meant? As a teacher at the School of Metaphysics with experience interpreting dreams at dreamschool.org, this dream is surprisingly common. Whether you’re a college student cramming for finals or a new employee trying to learn a new job, the answer is in the teeth. With dream interpretation and determining what certain things in a dream represent, it’s important to look at the function of the thing in question. Let’s take teeth for example. The main function of teeth is to chew food as a preparation to swallow and digest food. In other words, teeth are an essential part of the digestive process. So in order to understand the significance of teeth in a dream, we also need to look at food. Food nourishes the body by supplying needed vitamins, minerals, and energy. This gives the body the ability to continue to sustain itself and grow. So how does breaking down the function of teeth and food help us with dream interpretation? Dreams come from the subconscious mind, a deeper part of mind, which reflects thoughts, attitudes, feelings, and actions of the dreamer from the previous day. In other words, the picture messages we call dreams inform us of the workings of our minds. Just like food nourishes our bodies, our mind needs knowledge to continue to progress in learning life’s lessons. Just like teeth help the digestive process, they represent tools to assimilate or process the knowledge that we’ve taken in. Therefore, if teeth are falling out in your dreams, then there’s a difficulty in taking in knowledge and information in your life. If you have this dream, look for situations in your life that you feel like you’ve bitten off more than you can chew, or find certain things hard to swallow. A prime example of this is the college student cramming for finals. Every year, the School of Metaphysics hosts National Dream Hotline, an event where school centers across the nation open up the phone lines for dream interpretation during a weekend toward the end of April. Having been on the phones during the hotline for the past five years, I’ve received several calls from college students having dreams of their teeth falling out, because they’ve been having difficulty studying for spring semester final examinations. So, where do I go from here? It’s one thing to study dream interpretation to gain insight and clarity from nighttime dreams. To make the most out of this nightly feedback, here are some steps to take when you have this dream. Whenever you feel overwhelmed with information, take some deep breaths and focus one thing at a time. Many times the feeling of being overwhelmed is caused by thinking too many things at once, or trying to take in too many things at once. Taking deep breaths focuses the attention to the present: the only place we can receive anything. If you feel like there’s too much on your plate, eat one thing at a time. Right before you go to bed, replay the entire day in your mind like you are watching a movie, merely observing the day go by. This simple action can go a long ways in clearing your mind, making it easier to take in knowledge and information at any time. After replaying your day in your mind, visualize what you’re going to do tomorrow in chronological order. Knowing what you’re going to do ahead of time helps give the mind direction, making it easier to accomplish anything, whether that’s studying for a test or learning a new job. The mind can be a powerful tool when it’s directed. Dreams interpretation offers timely insight and refreshing perspective. If you’re having dreams with your teeth falling out, follow these steps, be a scientist, and keep a dream journal. You might find yourself having wonderful dreams of eating with a peace of mind as your ability to process knowledge increases.
